Our university’s 2023-2024 Academic Year Opening Ceremony has taken place. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye, Mehmet Fatih Kacır; the President of the İAÜ Board of Trustees, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın; as well as academic and administrative staff and students. Delivering the opening lecture, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır stated: “The future of education depends on the development of quality management in higher education. We must not remain limited to traditional methods; innovative teaching and learning approaches should be integrated into higher education. In this context, our universities—which have always been quick to adapt to technological advancements—will focus on cultivating a skilled workforce in emerging global technological fields, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), 5G, artificial intelligence, big data, quantum technology, cybersecurity, augmented reality, and smart transportation.” Speaking at the conclusion of the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın remarked: “I wish for the 2023-2024 academic year to be a successful and auspicious one for our country and our university. I also extend my respect and gratitude to our esteemed Minister, Mr. Mehmet Fatih Kacır, for honoring us with his presence.”
