Our Second-Year Student Merve Feyza Mülayim Participated in the “Support AFAD Volunteer” Training

Our second-year student, Merve Feyza Mülayim, successfully completed the online basic training modules within the AFAD Volunteer System and became a Basic AFAD Volunteer. She then advanced to the next level by participating in the Support AFAD Volunteer Training Program. The trainings were conducted under the coordination of AFAD Istanbul Training Branch Directorate between October 13–17.

The training program covered First Aid in Disasters, Theoretical Light Search and Rescue, Communication Skills and Teamwork, field practices carried out at the Yeşilköy AFAD Disaster Training Center, Fire Extinguishing and Evacuation Drills, Shelter and Tent Setup Trainings, and Light Search and Rescue Drills. Upon successfully passing the final assessment evaluating the field skills, our student Merve Feyza Mülayim has gained the responsibility, field awareness, essential intervention skills, and teamwork experience required to serve as a support volunteer in disasters and emergencies. We congratulate our student for creating awareness through her participation in this important volunteer program and wish her continued success.
