PharmAydın Club Organized a Technical Visit to Atabay Chemical Industry Trade Inc. Gebze Production Facility

On Monday, April 28, a technical visit was organized to Atabay Chemical Industry Trade Inc. Gebze Production Facility with the participation of PharmAydın Club and our faculty members. Following the company introduction by R&D Synthesis Manager Assist. Prof. Dr. Salih Tuncay and R&D Researcher Pharmacist Fatma Kardiyen, participants had the opportunity to observe all stages of drug production—from synthesis to the final product. This experience was particularly meaningful for our students. We thank Atabay Chemical Industry Trade Inc. and all its employees, as well as our PharmAydın Club, for organizing the visit.

In the second session, titled “Drugs Used in Chronic Diseases – Session II”, chaired by Prof. Dr. Fikret Vehbi İzzettin and Prof. Dr. Yusuf Öztürk, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ağırbaşlı delivered a presentation on “Drugs Used in Cardiovascular Diseases”and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Songül Tezcan presented “Patient Safety in Oncological Drugs.”

In the final session, titled “The Changing Role of Pharmacists in Drug Therapy and Pharmacovigilance Worldwide”, chaired by Prof. Dr. Fikriye Uras and Prof. Dr. Bedia Kaymakçıoğlu, Prof. Dr. Semra Sardaş shared insights on “Pharmacovigilance / Rational Drug Use”, Prof. Dr. Mesut Sancar delivered a talk on “The Changing Role of Pharmacists to Ensure Safe Medication Use Worldwide”, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Kemale Leyla Bingöl presented “Malpractice in Drug Therapy and Its Legal Dimensions.”
