Current Trends and Future Perspectives in Teacher Education: Interdisciplinary Teaching, New Pedagogies, and AI-Supported Approaches

The webinar titled “Current Trends and Future Perspectives in Teacher Education: Interdisciplinary Teaching, New Pedagogies, and Artificial Intelligence-Supported Approaches”, organized by the Department of Classroom Teaching at the Faculty of Education, Istanbul Aydın University, was held online via Zoom on April 8, 2026, between 14:00 and 15:30.

Within the scope of the webinar, current approaches in teacher education, interdisciplinary teaching practices, new pedagogical trends, and artificial intelligence-supported educational processes were discussed. The program, which brought together academics and educators from different countries, provided an opportunity to share international perspectives on teacher training processes. Innovative practices in education, digital transformation, and the future profile of teachers were also evaluated.

The participants of the program were Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sencer Çorlu (University of Doha for Science and Technology, Qatar), Assist. Prof. Dr. M. Serhat Semercioğlu (Hildesheim University, Germany), İpek Yılmaz (Académie de Grenoble, France), Elena Gusmaroli (F. Bonaccorsi Elementary School, Italy), and Azra Ateş (Uppsala University, Sweden). The webinar was moderated by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cihad Ayar and Assist. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Arif Bozan.
