Teachers Working in Private Schools and Their Professional Development Experiences

The event titled “Teachers Working in Private Schools and Their Professional Development Experiences”, organized by the Elementary Education Program of the Faculty of Education at Istanbul Aydın University, was held face-to-face on March 17, 2026, between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the Purple Hall, T Block, Social Sciences Campus.

Within the scope of the event, the professional development processes, teaching experiences, school culture, classroom practices, and experiences related to the development of professional skills of classroom teachers working in private schools were discussed. In the program, which was carried out with the participation of teachers working in different private educational institutions, practice-based insights were shared regarding the functioning of the classroom teaching profession within the context of private schools. The speakers also reflected on teachers’ professional development journeys, the opportunities they encountered, and their experiences in the field.

Esra İnan and Cansu Bildirici from Bahçeşehir Schools, Dilara Akyol from Finka Schools, Beyza Şimşek from Ulus Jewish Schools, and Meltem Koç from MBA Schools participated in the event as speakers. The event was moderated by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cihad Ayar.
