A Journey Through A. Akhmatova’s Verse: Translation and Poetry

The event titled “A Journey Through A. Akhmatova’s Verse: Translation and Poetry,” organized by the Department of Russian Translation and Interpreting at Istanbul Aydın University, will feature translator and graduate of the Department of Russian Translation and Interpreting, Gizem Eroğlu, as the guest speaker. The event will explore the poetic world of the Russian poet Anna Akhmatova, the process of translating her works into Turkish, and the linguistic and cultural aspects encountered in poetry translation. Participants will have the opportunity to examine the creative relationship between poetry and translation through selected texts. The event aims to provide a valuable platform for exchange and discussion for students and academics interested in literary translation and Russian literature.
