First Academic Visits of 2026 and International Cooperation

As part of the first academic visits of 2026, Prof. Dr. Hacı Duran, Head of the Sociology Department at Istanbul Aydın University, hosted Boudjidj Loubna Ahlem, a faculty member from Abbes Laghrour University, Algeria, on January 6, 2026. This was followed by a visit on January 19, 2026, from Dr. Widad Chouireb, a member of the Department of Economic Sciences at the Faculty of Economic, Commercial and Management Sciences at Ammar Thlidji University of Laghouat, Algeria. During these meetings, discussions were held regarding international academic cooperation, joint research initiatives, and the development of collaborative international projects between the respective universities.

On January 16, Yaşar Tükek, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Ahi Culture Research and Education Foundation, paid a visit to the Department of Sociology at Istanbul Aydın University. The meeting was also attended by Prof. Dr. Kazım Yetiş, Head of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at Istanbul Aydın University, where the participants engaged in discussions regarding cultural heritage and academic cooperation.
