External Stakeholders Meeting: Academic Sustainability and Sectoral Engagement

On 25 December 2025, the External Stakeholders Meeting was organized by Istanbul Aydın University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, within the scope of the Decent Work and Innovation Panel Series and External Stakeholders Workshop, in line with the objectives of Academic Sustainability and Sectoral Engagement. The event was held with the aim of strengthening the alignment of the academic programs of the Business Management, and Economics and Finance Departments with sectoral expectations.

The first panel session of the event focused on the theme of “Decent Work and Economic Growth” and was conducted under the moderation of Assist. Prof. Dr. Tayfun Tuncay Tosun. The session featured contributions from Prof. Dr. Gonca Telli, Güventürk Kalaslıoğlu, and Oğuzhan Çelebi as panelists.

The second panel session was organized around the theme of “Industry and Innovation” and was moderated by Assist. Prof. Dr. M. Adil Salepçioğlu, with Prof. Dr. Serdar Pirtini, Ali A. Pandır, and B. Kemal Ustaoğlu participating as panelists.

Following the panel sessions, a Workshop Session was conducted within the framework of Decent Work and Innovation, adopting an academic sustainability perspective. During this session, external stakeholders of the Business Management and Economics and Finance Departments of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences came together under the coordination of the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Celal Nazım İrem, to share their views, recommendations, and evaluations regarding changing industry expectations, graduate competencies, and the updating of academic programs. These meetings and sessions provided an important platform for strengthening sectoral engagement, integrating stakeholder feedback into teaching and learning processes, and supporting the continuous improvement approach of the Faculty’s academic programs.
