Future Engineers at the Heart of TUSAŞ

Students of the Mechanical Engineering Department at Istanbul Aydin University organized a technical visit to the facilities of Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TUSAŞ), located in Kahramankazan, Ankara.

During this one-day visit held in December 2023, the students had the opportunity to examine on site the groundbreaking projects shaping the country’s aviation and space technologies.

Within the framework of the “Learning by Practice” and sectoral integration vision, students closely observed design, manufacturing, and assembly processes. They received technical information from TUSAŞ engineers about the production stages and engineering details of national projects such as the National Combat Aircraft (KAAN), HÜRJET, GÖKBEY, and ATAK helicopters.

The visit significantly contributed to strengthening students’ theoretical knowledge through real-world observation and increasing their awareness of the defense and aerospace industry.
