In a social responsibility initiative, Dr. Birol Çağatay YAŞAR and the Outdoor Sports Club students organized a donation drive for books, stationery, and sports materials. The collected supplies were sent on December 17, 2025, to the “Amasya Merzifon Alıcık Şehitler İlker Atan Primary School” in Merzifon, Amasya.

A meeting was held with the class representatives of the Coaching Education Department on December 12, 2025, under the leadership of the Head of the Department, Associate Professor Aygül CAGLAYAN TUNC. During the meeting, student feedback, academic processes, departmental operations, and the responsibilities of the representatives were discussed through mutual evaluations

Second-year students of the Coaching Education Department conducted nature camps at the IAU Silivri Research and Application Campus on December 6–7 and 13–14, 2025, within the scope of the Nature Sports and Mountaineering course, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Birol Cagatay YASAR and Research Assistant Alihan OZKAVAK (Resim 1 ve 2).

In collaboration with the Istanbul Regional Directorate of Forestry and the students of the English Language Teaching Community Service Applications course, Dr. Birol Çağatay YAŞAR organized “Forest Fire Fighting Training” on December 9, 2025.

Dr. Birol Çağatay YAŞAR, from the our department, successfully completed the 15.5 K course at the 47th Istanbul Marathon on November 2, 2025, as part of the Recreation Applications Course. Additionally, 4th-year students of the Recreation Department took part in the event by taking onroles.

Within the scope of the Outdoor Sports and Mountaineering courses, Dr. Birol Çağatay YAŞAR and Res. Asst. Alihan Özkavak from our department organized outdoor camps at the IAU Silivri Application and Research Center on the weekends of December 6-7 and 13-14, 2025.
