Introduction of the Pharmacy Profession to High School Students within the Scope of Cihangir Schools’ 10th Career Days

Within the scope of the 10th Career Days held on April 30, 2026, at the Bahçeşehir Campus of Cihangir Okulları, our Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Sevgi Karakuş and Dr. Gizem Sena Elagöz met with 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students between 12:30 and 15:30.

During the event, students were informed about the pharmacy profession, pharmacy education, and post-graduation career opportunities. In addition, within the framework of health literacy, common misconceptions regarding the use of medicines, dietary supplements, and cosmetic products were addressed. Particular emphasis was placed on incorrect practices related to physical appearance among young individuals and the appropriate approaches.

The event, conducted interactively with the contributions of biology teacher Aybüke Güngör, enabled students to ask questions and gain awareness in both career planning and health literacy.

The hospitality of Cihangir Schools, the active participation of students throughout the day, and the well-organized structure of the event were noteworthy. The program, held with socially engaged and communicative students, concluded with a ceremony at the conference hall, where a plaque was presented.
