10th Talk Program Held within the Scope of the Difference Makers Academy
The 10th session of the Difference Makers Academy of Istanbul Aydın University, chaired by our Dean Prof. Dr. Ayşe Nurten Özdemir, was held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 14:00 in the Purple Hall of the T Block Social Sciences Campus. Moderated by Prof. Dr. Aybike Serttaş, the event titled “Digital Homeland and Responsible Publishing” featured Arzu Erdem, Chair of the Board of TYT Türk, as the guest speaker.
Ms. Erdem addressed the concept of the “digital homeland” from multiple perspectives, emphasizing the responsibility of producing and sharing information in an increasingly digitalized world. She highlighted the importance of individuals acting consciously in digital environments and taking responsibility for accessing accurate information. She also shared her experiences on effectively managing time in a multifaceted professional life and maintaining a balance between work and family life.
Drawing on her personal experiences, Ms. Erdem explained how the responsibilities she assumed at an early age strengthened her and emphasized the importance of perseverance in the face of challenges. By sharing her knowledge and experience in the fields of education, politics, and civil society, she offered an inspiring perspective to students.
The event was concluded as an inspiring and awareness-raising gathering for the participants.
