PharmAydın Student Club Organized the ONKOPHARM Event

The event titled “Oncology Pharmacy: Current Approaches and Case Analysis from the Perspective of Clinical Pharmacy (ONKOPHARM),” organized by the PharmAydın Student Club of the Faculty of Pharmacy and supported within the scope of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Youth and Sports UNIDES 2026 program, was held on May 11 at the Hasan Fehmi Büyükbayram Conference Hall in Block A.

The event was organized in two sessions. In the first session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Songül Tezcan delivered a presentation titled “The Role of the Clinical Pharmacist in Cancer Treatment,” while Pharmacist Feyzanur Yılmaz presented on “The Role of the Community Pharmacist in Cancer Care.” In addition, Alper Kırımlı, President of NCODA Türkiye, introduced NCODA, an international organization operating in the field of oncology.

In the second session of the event, two separate case studies were conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Songül Tezcan, Specialist Clinical Pharmacist Ömer Faruk Özkanlı, Pharmacist Feyzanur Yılmaz, and Alper Kırımlı.

We would like to thank all distinguished speakers and participants who contributed to the ONKOPHARM event, where current approaches in oncology pharmacy were discussed in the light of science and professional responsibility, with the aim of increasing awareness in this field.
