Civil Engineering Education Adapts to Industry 4.0!

The project, launched with the support of the European Union, will bring civil engineering education in line with the technologies developed under Industry 4.0.

European Union Presidency Turkey National Agency Erasmus+ Vocational Education Program 2023 KA220 -VET Vocational Education Cooperation Partnerships Project, titled “Discover the Know-How of Construction Professionals” and numbered 2023-1-TR01-KA220-VET-000150804, held its kick-off meeting in Eskişehir. Academics, including Prof. Dr. Gökhan Arslan from our University’s Department of Civil Engineering, exchanged views on combining Industry 4.0 with civil engineering and creating a joint project.

With this project, Prof. Dr. Gökhan Arslan stated that the shortcomings in technical education will be addressed and the minds of experienced engineers who have worked in the sector for years will be recorded. He added that experienced engineers and young engineers will come together on the platform designed within the scope of the project to facilitate the transfer of experience.
