NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS|05 Aralık 2024

Dear Students,

In order for examinations to be conducted in an orderly, fair, and secure manner, these rules must be followed in full. Please carefully review the Istanbul Aydın University Senate Decision dated 29.05.2025 and numbered 2025/07, and remember that it is your responsibility to comply with all the rules stated.

RULES STUDENTS MUST FOLLOW DURING EXAMS

  1. Students must follow the instructions given by invigilators and must not disrupt exam order. Determining seating arrangements and, if necessary, changing a student’s seat during the exam are at the discretion of the exam officer.
  2. The course instructor must be present in the examination room during the exam. If the exam is held in more than one room, the instructor should check the rooms in rotation.
  3. To ensure that ID checks and seating arrangements are completed on time, students must be present in the exam room before the exam starts.
  4. Students who arrive 15 minutes after the exam start time will not be admitted.
  5. Even if a student has finished answering the questions, students will not be allowed to leave during the first 20 minutes of the exam or within the last 5 minutes before the end of the exam.
  6. During the exam, students are strictly prohibited from leaving the exam room for any reason except serious health issues. A student who leaves the exam room will not be allowed to re-enter.
  7. Since ID checks will be carried out, students must keep their valid student ID card and another identity document on the desk in a visible manner throughout the exam. Students whose identity cannot be verified or who do not have a valid student ID card and another ID document will not be admitted.
  8. Attendance is taken during the exam, and students are required to sign the Exam Attendance Form. It is the student’s responsibility to follow this.
  9. No course-related notes may be present on, under, or within reach of the desk, and there must be no writing related to the exam course on the desk. If found, this will be considered as cheating or attempted cheating. If a student notices writing on the desk, they must inform the invigilator before the exam begins; otherwise, the responsibility belongs to the student.
  10. During the exam, students are prohibited from arguing with each other or with invigilators and from speaking loudly for any reason.
  11. Students must submit their question and/or answer sheets to the exam officers at the end of the exam (without requiring a warning). Even if the exam time has ended, students who do not submit their papers will not have them collected by invigilators, and the situation will be recorded in an official report.
  12. It is forbidden to enter the exam with communication devices such as pagers, mobile phones, walkie-talkies, radios, Bluetooth earphones, etc., as well as handheld computers, watches with functions other than telling time, or any device with computer features. Violations will be considered as cheating or attempted cheating.
  13. During the exam, exchanging items such as pens, erasers, etc., between students is prohibited.
  14. Consumption of any food or beverages other than water is prohibited in the exam room.
  15. An official report will be prepared by invigilators for students who violate these instructions, and the necessary legal/disciplinary process will be initiated.
  16. Complying with exam rules is the student’s duty. Students who act in violation of the rules will not be allowed to continue the exam. If deemed necessary to avoid distracting other students or causing loss of time, invigilators may prepare an official report regarding the violations. Regardless of the procedure followed, the identities and faults of such students will be clearly stated in the exam report, and it will be indicated that their exam will be invalidated. The report will be submitted to the administration to initiate the required disciplinary process.
