The 5th PDR Summit, organized in partnership with our University and the Turkish PDR Association and featuring academics from many universities as speakers, attracted great interest. Held over two days under the main theme \u201cCurrent Approaches in Psychological Counseling Practices: From Tradition to the Future,\u201d the summit was hosted by our university, where current studies were shared and discussed.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 5th PDR Summit, organized between June 3\u20134 in cooperation with Istanbul Ayd\u0131n University and the Turkish PDR Association, attracted great interest from academics and students. As a first in its field, the PDR Summit was organized with the participation of scientists from many universities to share and discuss current studies by guests and speakers in the field of psychological counseling and guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the summit hosted by our university under the main theme \u201cCurrent Approaches in Psychological Counseling Practices: From Tradition to the Future,\u201d presentations began following the opening speeches. In the morning session, Prof. Dr. Metin Pi\u015fkin first gave a presentation on \u201cPeer Bullying: Prevention and Coping Strategies,\u201d followed by Prof. Dr. Ay\u015fe Esra Aslan, who informed participants about \u201cThe Use of Schema Therapy in Psychological Counseling,\u201d and Prof. Dr. Z\u00fcmra Atalay, who presented on \u201cThe Therapeutic Power of Mindfulness.\u201d In the afternoon, presentations were delivered by Specialist Dr. Tahir \u00d6zakka\u015f on \u201cCurrent Relational Approaches in PDR from Tradition to the Future,\u201d Prof. Dr. Tayfun Do\u011fan on \u201cHope as an Active Commitment,\u201d Assoc. Prof. Dr. M\u00fcge Akba\u011f on \u201cThe Unbearable Cost of Being: Psychological Games We Play from the Perspective of Transactional Analysis,\u201d and Lecturer Dilek \u00d6zy\u00fcrek on \u201cThe Use of Sociometric Games in Psychoeducational Practices.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the second day of the summit, during the morning session, Prof. Dr. Azize Nilg\u00fcn Canel presented on \u201cHealing Through Writing: Therapeutic Writing,\u201d Prof. Dr. Seval Erden \u00c7\u0131nar on \u201cPsychological Resilience in the Context of Postmodern Approaches,\u201d and Prof. Dr. Ta\u015fk\u0131n Y\u0131ld\u0131r\u0131m on \u201cDynamic-Oriented Short-Term Intensive Emergency Psychotherapy.\u201d In the afternoon session, presentations were delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. O\u011fuzhan K\u0131rd\u00f6k on \u201cPositive Career Development at School,\u201d Dr. Faculty Member Onur Okan Demirci on \u201cI Am Trauma,\u201d Specialist Dr. Murat Dokur on \u201cThe Current State of Family Therapies,\u201d Assoc. Prof. Dr. \u0130smail Sanberk on \u201cHuman Beings in the Grip of Inner Experiences,\u201d and finally Dr. Faculty Member Beyza Naz Deniz on \u201cThe Cyber Dimension of Sexual Abuse.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Closing speeches were delivered by our Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Elif Ye\u015fim \u00dcst\u00fcn, our Head of the Department of Educational Sciences Y\u00d6KS\u0130S, Prof. Dr. Rag\u0131p \u00d6zy\u00fcrek, and the President of the PDR Association, Mesut Y\u0131ld\u0131r\u0131m. Within the scope of the PDR Summit, in addition to presentations by distinguished academics and scientists, workshops were also held. The PDR Summits, which have become a tradition, provide opportunities for students from different universities and colleagues and academics from different institutions to come together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
