More than 10,000 students threw their caps at the graduation ceremony organized by Istanbul Ayd\u0131n University (IAU). Families did not leave their children alone at the ceremony where there was intense participation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremony held by IAU, which gave its 18th graduates this year, at the Florya Campus, was the scene of colorful images. The ceremony was attended by IAU Board of Trustees President Dr. Mustafa Ayd\u0131n, Acting Rector Prof. Dr. \u0130brahim Hakk\u0131 Ayd\u0131n, academic and administrative staff, students and parents. The ceremony, which started with a moment of silence and the National Anthem, continued with opening speeches and the awarding of students who graduated with honors, and ended with the cap-throwing ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are sending you off to life” <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Ayd\u0131n, who first expressed that they are very proud and happy in his opening speech, also thanked the families for their efforts given to the students. Mustafa Ayd\u0131n also said, “In the 100th Year of our Republic and our Turkey,” as Istanbul Ayd\u0131n University, we are experiencing the justified pride of leaving behind 20 years crowned with successes and raising young people who have received education at an international level and are characterized as world citizens.  As Istanbul Ayd\u0131n University, our aim is not only to raise students who have achieved academic success; but to raise humane people who are sensitive to the problems of the geography they live in, the world and all humanity, and who know the importance of unity, solidarity and cooperation. Thank God we are succeeding in this as well.” Giving advice to graduate students about keeping up with innovations, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayd\u0131n said, “We have to keep up with and follow the innovations of the global world. However, we must not forget that while adapting to these, we will not break away from our history, cultural and spiritual values, and we will not lose our identity. We must protect our flag, our land, our national and spiritual values. Otherwise, we wither away like a tree that has been uprooted.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Ayd\u0131n continued his words as follows: “The diplomas we give you today are like pens. We are eagerly waiting to read the success stories you will write with this pen. My advice to you is to never let that pen dull by always improving yourself in your field. Create your own success story by revealing your own difference with your creativity and hard work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do not be afraid of making mistakes. Because only working, producing people make mistakes. However, it is very important to learn from the mistake made and not to repeat the same mistake again. Time is not for making excuses, but for showing skill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Whatever job you do, do your best.  Do everything you do not to earn money, but to earn reputation. Because the hardest thing to earn in the world is reputation, and a person’s work is a reflection of their character.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are proud of all of you”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vice Rector Prof. Dr. \u0130brahim Hakk\u0131 Ayd\u0131n also said in his speech, “The bright future of our country, our hope, the 20th anniversary of our University, the centennial graduates of our Republic. To share the joy of the 2022\/2023 graduates of our university    On this meaningful day when we have come together to send off the competent young people that our university has contributed to our country to new beginnings with pride, I present my thanks and respects on behalf of myself and the Istanbul Ayd\u0131n University family for sharing our happiness and joy. Our university, which started education in 2003 under the leadership of our Board of Trustees President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Ayd\u0131n, with the ideal of using science and technology for the benefit of society in the development and progress of our country, providing its students with the knowledge accumulation required by our age, an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit with education in line with international standards under the light of science, and raising bright young people integrated with the past and today, today has over 40 thousand students and over 80 thousand graduates.” Prof. Dr. Ayd\u0131n gave advice to the graduate students and noted: “Our centennial graduates, you started university life a short time ago, as if it were yesterday. You had a good education process with the opportunities provided by our university and finally you are graduating. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During your time at our university; important opportunities were provided to you to grow in line with the requirements of the age and the course of the world, and to prepare for national and international competition and the future. Therefore, tomorrow, we believe that all of you will be successful, wherever you are in the world, whatever job you do. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember! the world is changing rapidly and conditions are becoming more and more different every day, both for countries and for individuals. Humanity is in a constant search to achieve the most ideal and perfect, and to get one step ahead in the civilization race. Therefore, the global race no longer recognizes borders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To understand the world, to be able to interpret developments correctly; you must think big, read more, research, and constantly update the knowledge you have. You must be open to technological innovations and changes.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 18th period valedictorian was a Yemeni student<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 18th Period valedictorian was Yemeni Alhanoof Abdulmajid Abdo Anaam from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Aviation Management English department. Expressing that she is honored to be part of a large family, Anaam said, “I am not here alone today. I am here on behalf of all my friends who have worked and strived as hard as I have and lost themselves among the pages of books. This process, which was difficult for all of us, became enjoyable with each other’s presence. As the former students and new graduates of Istanbul Ayd\u0131n University, our time here passed with the responsibility of being a member of a constantly developing and growing university, by seeking ways to constantly improve ourselves, expanding our knowledge base, and trying to surpass ourselves each time. I know that we will continue our lives with the same discipline and sense of responsibility. Another element that made this tiring process enjoyable for me is my family. Thank you very much for always being by my side and never withholding your support for a moment. This success is yours. I’m so glad you exist.” The Graduation Ceremony ended after the flag handover and cap throwing.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n
