NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS|22 Mart 2024

In a competition organized by the Chamber of Interior Architects, Tohum Autism Foundation, and Değer Autism Association under the slogan “Special Interfaces for Students with Autism,” our Interior Architecture student Ezgi Nisa Şahin won first place.

Interior design students competed in the contest to highlight the importance of functionality in educational and socialization spaces.  The theme of the furniture and functional surface design contest was autism awareness and original designs for educational and socialization spaces for individuals with special needs. The winning designs were announced at an awards ceremony held at the Tohum Autism Foundation Education Center.

Students participating in the competition designed functional furniture and wall units using Plywood products to help improve daily life in places where students with autism socialize and receive education. These units were designed to help develop fine motor skills and meet sensory needs. In the competition, which featured projects in many areas, our student Ezgi Nisa Şahin won first place among 100 projects in the wall unit category with her “Harmony Wall” project. We congratulate our student, who is a pioneer in social responsibility, for winning first place with her project developed with the aim of touching the lives of individuals with autism, and we wish her continued success.
