Open Lecture on Relational Theory and the Interpersonal Octagon

Within the scope of the Public Lecture organized by the Department of Social Work, Faculty of Health Sciences, Istanbul Aydın University, the lecture titled “The Relating Theory and the Interpersonal Octagon: Understanding, Measuring, and Interpreting Human Relating and Interrelating” was delivered. The event featured Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kalaitzaki Argyroula, a faculty member of the Department of Social Work at the Hellenistic Mediterranean University, as the speaker, and presented a theoretical and applied framework for understanding interpersonal relating processes. Within the scope of the event, the core concepts of Relating Theory, the structure of the Interpersonal Octagon, and how human relationships can be understood, measured, and interpreted within the contexts of clinical psychology and social work were addressed. Held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, between 13:00 and 14:30 in Room T117, the public lecture provided an important opportunity for students and academics to engage with contemporary theoretical approaches and international academic experience in the fields of social work and clinical psychology.
