We Celebrated the First 14 May Pharmacists’ Day Together with Our Faculty Students
As Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Pharmacy, we proudly celebrated 14 May Pharmacists’ Day together with the first students of our Faculty during its inaugural academic year. This special occasion created unforgettable moments, emphasizing the significance of the pharmacy profession and honoring the future pharmacists of our country.
Our event took place in Block D, Orange Hall, in an emotional yet enthusiastic atmosphere, with the participation of our academic staff and students. The opening speech by our Dean, Prof. Dr. A. Nurten Özdemir, and her presentation titled “Our Faculty Turns One,” created heartfelt moments for both our academic team and our students.
Meaningful speeches delivered by our student representative Ceren İlsu Korkmaz, PharmAydın Club President Sarenur Deli, and Aydın ADEC Club President Aysu Özoğul added great value to our event. Their words expressed their passion for the profession, their sense of belonging to our Faculty, and their overall satisfaction—deeply resonating with all participants.
One of the most memorable moments of the event was the surprise short film prepared by our students. The video, which featured their activities, first-year memories, and energetic reflections of their experiences throughout the year, was met with warm smiles and brought joy to the audience.
Another delightful part of the event was the participation of our university’s music band. Shahram Hussaini, Kaan Kasap, Efe Öğer, and Talha Çakar performed a series of beautiful songs that added vibrancy to the celebration. Their performance received great admiration and further enhanced the joyful atmosphere of the day.
As Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Pharmacy, this meaningful event during our first academic year once again highlighted the value of our profession. While taking pride in educating future pharmacists, we remain committed to raising well-qualified individuals who will contribute to public health. We look forward to celebrating many more 14 May Pharmacists’ Days together.
