We Celebrated Our First May 14 Pharmacy Day Together with Our Faculty Students
As the Faculty of Pharmacy at Istanbul Aydın University, we celebrated Pharmacy Day on May 14th with great enthusiasm and pride, together with our first academic year students. This special day was filled with unforgettable moments, both highlighting the importance of our profession and honoring the pharmacists of the future. Our event took place in the Orange Hall of Block D, with the participation of our faculty’s academic staff and students, in an emotional yet enthusiastic atmosphere. Our Dean, Prof. Dr. A. Nurten Özdemir’s opening speech and presentation titled “Our Faculty is One Year Old” created emotional moments for both our academic staff and students.
Our student representative Ceren İlsu Korkmaz, the President of our Pharmaydın Club, Sarenur Deli, and the President of our Aydın ADEC Club, Aysu Özoğul, added meaning to our event with their heartfelt speeches. Their speeches expressing their passion for the profession, their sense of belonging to our faculty, and their satisfaction were very impactful. One of the most special moments of the event was the surprise short video presentation prepared by our students. The fun video showcasing our students’ activities, memories of their first year at the faculty, and their energy was met with smiles in the hall and provided enjoyable moments for the viewers.
Another surprise of the day was the participation of our university’s music group. Shahram Hussaini, Kaan Kasap, Efe Öğer, and Talha Çakar, members of the music group, added color to our event with their beautiful songs. Their performance was greatly appreciated by everyone in attendance and made our day even more cheerful. As Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Pharmacy, we emphasized the value of our profession once again with this meaningful event we held in our first year. While experiencing the pride of training the pharmacists of the future, we will continue to train quality individuals who will contribute to public health. Here’s to many more May 14th celebrations together…
