Collaboration Meetings with External Stakeholders on Internship Processes
The Chair of the Internship Commission of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Assist. Prof. Makbule Karcı, conducted visits and meetings with external stakeholders, including healthcare institutions and special education centers where students of the program complete their internships. Within this scope, Çam and Sakura City Hospital and various private special education and rehabilitation institutions hosting the department’s interns were visited, and ongoing internship practices were evaluated on site. During these meetings, the alignment of internship processes with program learning outcomes, program competencies, and professional qualifications was discussed, and mutual feedback was exchanged with institutional representatives.
These external stakeholder meetings contribute significantly to improving the effectiveness of internship practices, strengthening university–sector collaboration, and ensuring the sustainability of the quality assurance system. Moreover, this process is regarded as an important mechanism for enhancing students’ clinical and professional skills and supporting their post-graduation employability.
