Nursing Home Visit from Our Department: A Field View of Geriatric Rehabilitation

The IAU Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation visited the Zeytinburnu Semiha Şakir Nursing Home as part of the Vefa Buluşmaları organized in cooperation with AKEV. During the visit, our faculty and students conducted physiotherapeutic observations and assessments aimed at supporting the functional mobility of the residents. By applying their theoretical knowledge in the field, our students practiced exercise motivation and communication techniques for the geriatric population, while contributing to the active quality of life of the residents through social interactions.
