Our Second-Year Student Merve Feyza Mülayim Participated in the “Support AFAD Volunteer” Training Program
Our second-year student, Merve Feyza Mülayim, successfully completed the online basic training modules within the AFAD Volunteering System and became a Basic AFAD Volunteer. She then proceeded to participate in the Support AFAD Volunteer Training Program. The training sessions were held between 13–17 October under the coordination of AFAD Istanbul Training Branch Directorate.
The training program included: First Aid in Disasters, Light Search and Rescue (Theory), Communication Skills and Teamwork, field practices held at Yeşilköy AFAD Disaster Education Center, Fire Extinguishing and Evacuation Practices, Shelter and Tent Installation Training, and a Light Search and Rescue Drill. Successfully completing the competency-based exam at the end of the program, our student Merve Feyza Mülayim has gained responsibility awareness, field readiness, basic intervention skills, and experience in teamwork, qualifying her to serve as a support volunteer in disaster and emergency situations. We congratulate our student for taking part in this meaningful and socially impactful training and wish her continued success.
