Digital Health Physical Transformation Event

On Wednesday, May 21st, between 13:00 and 17:00, a seminar titled “Digital Health: Physical Transformation,” organized by the Aydın Nutrition Club, was held with the participation of the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Halit Tanju BESLER, faculty members and staff of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, and students, under the supervision of Dr. Şule ARSLAN.

The seminar began with an opening speech by the Head of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Can ERGÜN; followed by a presentation by the Head of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics (English), Dr. Ece ÇELİK ATALAY, on “Obesity and Treatment Methods in the Digital Age: Bariatric Surgery and New Technologies.”

The seminar continued with a presentation by Specialist Physiotherapist Hande Tunç titled “The New Face of Health: Digitalization in Health Applications.” Following this, Dr. Öğr. Member Murat Kavruk addressed the topic of “The Effects of New Technologies on Nutrition and Dietetics: Threats and Opportunities.” Dietitian Büşra Deniz Kızır gave a presentation titled “Current Approaches to Adult Obesity: Technology and Nutritional Supplements.” Dietitians Zeynep Kekeç and Ethan Ha discussed “Evolving Anthropometric Measurements and BIA Technology (Measurement and testing with BIA devices).”
