Accounting Education and Curriculum Review Meeting

Between March 22–24, 2025, an External Stakeholder Meeting was held with the participation of the Department of Accounting and Financial Management and the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, coordinated by the Head of the Department of Accounting and Financial Management, Gülümser Ünkaya. The meeting was attended by Public Oversight Accounting and Auditing Standards Authority President Hasan Özçelik, TÜRMOB Treasurer Cemal İbiş, Istanbul Commerce University faculty member Necdet Şensoy, and Marmara University Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance Fatma Pamukçu. During the meeting, accounting education and the curriculum structure implemented within the Accounting and Financial Management Program and other departments of the Faculty were discussed, and evaluations were made based on the current state of the sector and stakeholder feedback. The feedback obtained was intended to contribute to ongoing efforts aimed at program development.
