A Leadership Story in Pharmaceuticals: Ms. Vildan Kumrulu Met with Students at the Difference Makers Academy

Leadership is often defined not by titles, but by decisions made, experiences shared, and the traces that illuminate the paths of others. Inspiring stories come to life precisely in the moments when these traces are conveyed with sincerity.

On April 14, 2026, the Difference Makers Academy at Istanbul Aydın University hosted one such meaningful event. Ms. Vildan KUMRULU, Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Polifarma Pharmaceuticals, met with a large audience, predominantly composed of our Faculty of Pharmacy students, at the Purple Hall of the T Block Social Sciences Campus.

In this special session titled “A Leadership Story in Pharmaceuticals,” Ms. KUMRULU shared the turning points of her career journey, the multidimensional nature of leadership in the pharmaceutical industry, and her experiences in achieving sustainable success in a sincere and inspiring manner. Participants had the opportunity to witness not only a career story but also a genuine leadership perspective.

Emphasizing contributing to the country as a primary goal, Ms. KUMRULU highlighted the importance of listening to one’s inner voice, taking risks when necessary, and moving forward without stepping back in the face of failure. She also underlined that she has always placed the “Life First” approach at the center of her career philosophy and stressed the value of the innovative perspectives that young people will bring to the sector.

The event was also attended by Mr. Ufuk KUMRULU, Chairman of the Board of Polifarma, and Mr. Başbuğ ÖKE, CEO of Polifarma, along with the esteemed Polifarma team.
