International Symposium on “Integration of Nomadic Tribes and Settled Peoples in Inner Asian History”
The international symposium titled “Integration of Nomadic Tribes and Settled Peoples in Inner Asian History,” jointly organized by UNESCO, the Turkish Language Association, TİKA, Istanbul Aydın University, TÜRKSOY, Karakorum Local Government, and the Ilterish Foundation, was held on June 30 – July 1, 2025, in Karakorum, Mongolia. Held under the auspices of H.E. Enkhbayar NAMBAR, the 3rd President of Mongolia, the symposium featured 33 scientists from 9 countries; Assoc. Prof. Elvin Yıldırım, Head of the History Department at Istanbul Aydın University and a member of the Symposium Organizing Committee, participated with her paper titled “Historical Integration Of Nomads and Settled Societies In Siberia: A Study from Tsarist Russia to The Soviet Period.”
