A seminar on artificial intelligence and machine learning was held for Electrical andElectronics Engineering students

A two-session seminar was organized by the Department of Electrical and ElectronicsEngineering at Istanbul Aydın University on December 26, 2023, at T Block, 4th Floor, RoomT405. The first session focused on “Self-Driving Cars with Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN)”, while the second session addressed “Machine Learning for Object Detection.”
The seminar was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dimah Dera from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science, College of Science, andmoderated by Dr. Mohammed Alkrunz, Vice Head of the Department of Electrical andElectronics Engineering at Istanbul Aydın University. During the seminar, students wereintroduced to current methodologies and practical applications in deep learning, convolutionalneural networks, and object detection, providing valuable insights into the role of artificialintelligence in modern engineering systems.
