“The future of humanity passes through the labour of art”
Master actor Halil Ergün, who received the AKEV Honor Award, said in his vote of thanks: “My interest in art started in the middle school with the shows. Then it continued until my university years. It is very important for an artist to be remembered, assumed and evaluated. It is the labour of art that feeds the future of humanity, it has been like this throughout history. Thank you very much for your consideration.”
“We will always protect our artists and communicators”
Our Acting Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Hakkı Aydın stated, “I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to both our artists and communicators, the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Communication, our academicians and students for their participation today. Communication is very important. People are successful as much as they can express themselves. For the artists and communicators selected and appreciated by our 50 thousand students, Avicenna said the following: “Art and knowledge migrate from where they are not appreciated.’ If we do not want science and art to migrate, we will always protect our artists and communicators, we must protect them.”
