Gülistan Karakurt, an entrepreneur at Istanbul Aydın University’s TEKMER (Technology and Technology Center) and a student in the Electroneurophysiology Department, has qualified as a finalist in the field of artificial intelligence at TEKNOFEST 2022.
Our student developed a new project to address the shortcomings of PSG (Polysomnography – the process of recording neurophysiological, respiratory, cardiovascular, and other physiological parameters during sleep, usually throughout the night, at specific intervals) devices, which initially used analog recording systems but have now been replaced by digital systems. She added thermal cameras, ultrasonic cameras, pulse and blood pressure monitors, motion sensors, and light scanners to these devices. We congratulate our student for successfully representing our university in the field of artificial intelligence and becoming a finalist, and we wish her continued success.
