International Q3 Scopus-Indexed Publication by Our Academic Staff

A study authored by Dr. Zehra Yardı, a faculty member at Istanbul Aydın University, has been published in the 2025, Volume 35(2) issue of Turyzm/Tourism, an international peer-reviewed journal indexed in Scopus and ranked in the Q3 category.

The study entitled “Cost Leadership Strategies in Low-Cost Airlines: A Deep Learning-Based Comparative Analysis of Ryanair and Pegasus” examines the implementation level of cost leadership strategies in low-cost airlines and the impact of these strategies on customer perceptions. The research provides a comparative analysis of Ryanair and Pegasus Airlines.

A mixed-methods approach was adopted in the study. Document analysis was conducted using airline financial reports, while social media data were analyzed through deep learning–based sentiment analysis techniques. The findings offer significant insights into the relationship between cost leadership strategies and customer satisfaction in airline operations.
