Michelin-Starred Chef Serkan Aksoy Guest Lectured in the World Cuisines Course

On November 10, 2025, the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Istanbul Aydın University, hosted Michelin-starred chef Serkan Aksoy. As a guest speaker in the “World Cuisines” course conducted by Sandra Öz, Chef Aksoy shared his professional experiences on international culinary cultures, modern gastronomy trends, and fine-dining techniques with students. During the hands-on session held at the O Block 11207 Demonstration Kitchen, students had the opportunity to observe and practice cooking and presentation techniques specific to various world cuisines under the guidance of a professional chef. The event contributed significantly to students’ sectoral awareness and career planning, highlighting once again the department’s strong emphasis on professional culinary education.
